Hello!  I've been so busy!  Where did this month go?  I have two cards to share with you since I've been so busy I had to squish them into the same post!

This first card is perfect. . .I've been so behind, I may need this for a birthday I might have missed!  Isn't it too fun?

Imagine That Easter Card

Hello!  I'm so sorry.  March has been a crazy busy month, and it flew by.  Now, Easter is nearly upon us!  I made this adorable card with an Imagine That digi stamp called Egg Frog! The background of the card I created using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks!  Those things are so amazing!!!  Then, just a strip of washi tape finished up this simple but effective card!!

Foxy Valentine

Hi!  Welcome back!  It is getting close to that time of year. . .the time of hearts and pink and red and Valentines!  Yep!  Ok, most of you are thinking Valentine's Day is over two weeks away.  That would be true.  However, I work at a Chocolate store.  As soon as Christmas is over, we set our sites on Valentine's Day.  There is so much preparation at a chocolate shop before Valentine's Day, so I've been in Valentine's mode for some time now!

I made this card using the Foxy Thang set from Imagine That! Digistamps!  Isn't it adorable??  I love how sexy she looks!  Check out the set!!!

Chihuahua stamps from Imgaine That Digi Stamps!

Hello!  Happy New Year to you all!  I'm back with another card! First of all, anyone who knows me, knows I have three dogs.

It is hard to get them all to sit still, so excuse the quality of the photo.  That is Emma, Vato, and Gracie.  Vato is my Chihuahua!  Contrary to most Chihuahuas, Vato is the sweetest thing ever!  He loves everyone!

Naturally, when I saw Imagine That! had come out with Chihuahua digis, I had to use them!

And tacos?  I LOVE Mexican food!  Too perfect!

Winter Birthday!

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!  I work in retail, so I was completely swamped!  I'm so glad that season is finished!  Whew!  However, I did have a lovely Christmas!  

Now, on to the fun stuff!  I finally had some time to craft!

I used the adorable Dog Sledding set from Imagine That! Digistamp!

It is a fun set!  Now, I just need to learn how to color patterns with my Copics, so I can add fun little designs to their sweaters!

Christmas Card with Imagine That!

It's Christmas time!!!  That means LOTS of Christmas cards!  I love to make them!  I made this one with the  Mistletoe Kitty set from Imagine That Digistamps!  I love the little Cardinal!  Look at his crazy 'hair!' I didn't notice it until I was coloring the image.  I laughed.  He's so adorable!

Springy Birthday card with Imagine That!

I don't know why I was inspired to do this springy card in the fall, but I was.  I wanted to use the beautiful Well Wishes set from Imagine That! Digistamps.  This is what emerged!  I love how bright and colorful it is!  Thank you for looking!  I hope you are inspired to color something bright and springy to chase any winter blues away!

Purrfect Thanksgiving card!

Hi everyone!  I have been so busy lately!  I'm afraid my crafting has gone in so many directions, I have very little to show.  However, today, I am here to show you this adorable card using these adorable Pumpkin Kitties by Imagine That! Digistamps

Pumpkin Kitties

How adorable are these cats?  I printed the image and colored with my copics.  I don't have many orange or yellow orange copics, so my pumpkin has a bit of an odd color.  I still like it though.  I just made due with what I had!  For the background, I sprayed over a Hero Arts stencil with Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist.  The background sparkles, but it is hard to capture in the photo.  Then I fussy cut the cat image and added the sentiment (which I colored with an ombre effect using the same colors as the pumpkin!).  A simple card, but I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it will bring joy to its intended recipient.  She loves cats, and this is 
"purrrrfect" for her!  (Heehee. . .see what I did there???)

Imagine That! Digistamp inspiration!

This is the perfect day to post this card!  I created this card for a friend's birthday that just happens to be today!  (Happy Birthday, Julie!)  I used Dachshund Party to create this adorable card.  I printed it and colored it with my Copics.  I tried to make the dog look like Julie's dog, Izzy!  I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to create my background.  I added a little washi tape and the sentiment and I was good to go!  Doesn't it just scream celebration???

Imagine That Digistamps Linky Challenge

Hi!  Guess what: it is officially October.  That means I am officially part of the Design Team for Imagine That! Digistamps!  Who-hoo!!!  With that said, I have lots of things to share with you today!

First of all, at the ITD's Creative Playground blog, they do a challenge every month.  If you participate using a ITD digi, then you automatically get the featured set of the month.  If you participate using another company's stamp (which is totally fine!), you are entered into a drawing for a $15 voucher to use at Imagine That! Digistamp store!  Ok, so who is interested???  The challenge runs until November 3.  That gives you plenty of time!

The featured set for the month of October is called Thanks a Bunch.

It is such a versatile set!  I love how it is usable all year!  I created a card with this featured set:

I wanted to create a beautiful fall card, so I colored the image with more fall-like colors.  I used a kraft colored card base on which I added Bo Bunny's copper Glitter paste using a palette knife and a Tim Holtz stencil.  I love the way it came it.  I just adds a warmth and touch of fall to the card.

Isn't it the cutest set?  I love it! I was a little intimidated coloring the whale as I wasn't sure if I had enough Copic blue variations that would look good.  However, I managed, and he looks so adorable!

Digistamps!  Yea!!  Can you believe it?  They have asked me to officially join their team!  I am beyond excited to be a member of their talented group!  So keep an eye here and on ITD's Creative Playground Blog to see more of my work with their adorable stamps- including new releases!  Yea!!

Distress Oxide inks!

Hi!  Yes, I'm still making cards and still alive!  I've been posting for my GDT work with Imagine That! Digistamps, but I haven't been posting my own stuff.  Since I have a great deal to share, I will break it up into different posts.  Today, I'm going to share the cards I've made using the Distress Oxide Inks to make the backgrounds!

If you haven't yet used Distress Oxide inks, DO IT!  Find someone who will let you use theirs and just play!  That's how I found out about them.  Some friends got together JUST to play with the Oxides.  I was hooked from that moment!  What beautiful backgrounds they make.  I know there are other ways to use them, but since I am still quite a novice, I don't know their many other uses. . .yet!

Basically, for these backgrounds, I rubbed the ink pad straight onto my crafting mat leaving ink stripes.  I put several colors together.  Then, I spritzed the ink with water before I laid the paper on top.  I moved the paper around in order to pick up more ink and to blend the colors.  I used my heat tool to dry the ink a bit.  Then, I spritzed it with water again (using larger drops- the Tim Holtz spray bottle works great for this!), then I dabbed it with a paper towel as I used the heat tool to dry it.

Also, all the images were colored with Copics!

Without further ado:

These stamps are from Craftin Desert Divas!  They are the Treasure Trolls!  

This is also a stamp from Craftin Desert Divas!  It is a Digital Stamp called Cool Summer!  On the top of this background, I used the Oxide ink to stamp with.  It gives a great tone on tone image that is subtle but still effective!

Another Craftin Desert Divas stamp!  Isn't she adorable?? She is called Aloha!

I LOVE these elephants from My Favorite Things!  They are called BB Adorable Elephants!

On this final example, I used the Oxides a little differently.  Using a blending tool, I blended different bright colors onto Bristol paper.  (It is heavier paper that stands up to the wet media.)  After that, I blended the Black Soot Oxide over top of the colors being sure to leave some of the color visible.  Then, I spritzed the paper with water.  It blended the colors and obscured the lines.  I dried it with my heat tool, spritzed it again, dabbed it with a paper towel and then dried it again.  After the whole thing was dry, I splattered silver acrylic paint over it to look like stars.

This is from Astro Tobie digital stamp from Some Odd Girl!  I love the little alien at his feet!

That is all I have for now!  Try out the Oxide inks if you can!  They are more than just ink!

Sorrowful Shar-Pei

I've been gone awhile.  Sorry about that!  I've got a new card for you using an Imagine That! Digistamp.  I used the Shar-Pei Party set, but I decided to use it a little differently than it was intended.

Isn't it so sweet???  The poor little Shar-Pei looked entirely too perfect for a sympathy card!

Weekend cards

Hello!  I got to spend Saturday afternoon and evening crafting with friends.  I made cards.  I had to have three for the girls in the group with birthdays, so I made them first and shot the best photos I could.

All the cards include a Some Odd Girl image!

After I finished those, I made some other cards.  In the past, I've always colored an image and then just moved on to another image or another color combination.  For this weekend, I tried coloring an image the same way and making two identical cards.  It was quick and easy and I made a few extra cards!  Duh!  Why didn't I think of that before???  

Again, all the cards include a Some Odd Girl image.

My favorite card of the weekend was one I made with Craftin Desert Diva's Stars and Wishes Trolls!  Aren't they just the cutest???  

This card just makes me so happy!!!  This one is definitely getting saved for someone very special!  (Still. . . .looking at it, I can't get over the cuteness!!!!)
